The Brazilian Journal of Communication Policies (RBPC), linked to the Laboratory for Communication Policies at the University of Brasilia (LaPCom / UnB), is receiving reviews and articles for its next edition (July- December, 2013). The deadline for paper submissions ends on July 30, 2013.

The evaluation process is done in pairs (two referees, in a system of mutual anonymity). The result can be “recommended for publication,” “recommended for publication with modifications” or “not recommended for publication.” Papers can be written in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French. Texts will only be accepted that are in accordance with the Journal’s publication rules of, available on www.rbpc.lapcom.unb.br.

The Journal

RBPC is an academic electronic publication, published every six months, focused on the intersection of communication policies , cultural studies and political economy. The Journal privileges texts that critically cover social, political, cultural and normative phenomena that are produced in the universe of communication policies and cultural studies, in Brazil and other countries.

The ultimate goal is to give visibility to relevant aspects of communication policies brought forward by governments – from broadcasting to telecommunications and the internet – which are increasingly important to the understanding of the contemporary relationships of society, state, communication and the economy.
