Special Issue ‘Public Relations: communication, engagement and dialogue’2015-02-24T15:43:08+00:00

The field of Public Relations is experiencing a transformation due to the appearance of new communication technologies and social changes. Major potentialities for communication have emerged, as well as new risks that (some of) these entail. Organizations in the public and private sectors should rethink their communicative strategies and acknowledge emerging audiences in order to face these challenges. Therefore, scholars and practitioners in Public Relations should continue doing critical research on key topics.

We welcome research on:
– The professional sector of Public Relations
– Strategic and organizational communication
– Community Management and emerging audience
– Current research in Public Relations
– Innovation in Public Relations
– Public Relations for social change
– Power, activism and critical perspectives in Public Relations
– Public Relations and crisis management

The journal plans to include articles of between 6000 and 8000 words, as well as brief research notes and reports of around 2000-3000 words for the Viewpoint section. Full articles for proposed contributions should be sent to catalan.journal@urv.cat by 1 March 2015. All contributions must follow the Intellect guidelines for contributors and the Notes for contributors, and will be subjected to double blind peer review.
