This year’s plenary speaker will be Professor Robert G. Picard

Robert Picard is a distinguished and world-leading specialist on media economics and Director of Research at The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, University of Oxford, UK.

He is the author and editor of more than 20 books including Media Clusters: Spatial Agglomeration and Content Capabilities (2011); and Value Creation and the Future of News Organisations: Why and How Journalism must Change to Remain Relevant in the Twenty–First Century (2010). He is the editor of The Journal of Media Business Studies and the founding editor of The Journal of Media Economics.

The subject of his lecture will be: Funding the Future of Journalism.
