SUMMARY:ArtMedGIS Project: Almost A Year of Artistic Exchanges in the Medieval Mediterranean World
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this lecture is to present the research results obtained during the first months of the ArtMedGIS Project. During the talk\, we will explore the relations among the different Mediterranean societies of the 12th – 15th centuries and the artistic exchanges developed during this period. In this way\, the first database of the project will be presented along with innovative cartographical materials created with the Geographical Information Systems (GIS). \nThis lecture is addressed to IEM members\, University students and general public. It will be an approach of the use of new methodologies of analysis applied to the research in Art History. \n
