Projet ArtMedGIS. Les SIG pour l’étude de l’art islamique médiéval et sa diffusion

The aim of this lecture, included in the Periodical Seminar of the Laboratoire de Démographie et d’Histoire Sociale (LaDéHiS – CRH – EHESS), is to present the ArtMedGIS Project at the prestigious research institution of the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. During the lecture, the objectives of the project, the methodology based on the application of the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to the research in Art History and the first results of the project will be explained, as well as the main dissemination activities of the ArtMedGIS Project.
