2016*: Old is New: The Presence of the Past in the Music of the Present
*In 2016, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at NOVA University hosted an international conference on contemporary music research and practice entitled Old Is New. The conference was subsequently consolidated as the biennial NOVA Contemporary Music Meeting, with each edition organised around a distinct thematic focus. Our aim was—and remains—for NOVA University to serve as an internationally relevant meeting point for research, artistic practice, and critical debate in contemporary music.
